Sentence Completion
As stated above, there is a sentence completion section in all three verbal sections: 5 and 8 questions in the two 25-minute sections, and 6 questions in the 20-minute section.
The vocabulary level did not seem difficult, but the sentence structures seemed more unusual than those in the older SAT tests. The sentence completions also had a new question type that had no definite hint for what should go into the two blanks, not even whether the words in the blank(s) should be positive or negative in tone.
The correct answer was one with word choices that related to each other in a logical way: one blank's answer needed to match the other blank's answer logically.
There were three such questions. If these questions can be recognized early on, the answer can be found by scanning the answer choices first, without referring to the sentence for every choice scanned, and picking out any logically related pairs of words.
This would save much more time and cause less confusion than trying out each answer in the blanks, one at a time.
